I fell in love with York, Pennsylvania on February 18th, 2011, the moment I first stepped out of the car onto the blueberry farm I would steward for the next several years.
It turns out that I have a number of ancestral connections to York going back hundreds of years, so maybe my DNA remembered it and felt instantly at home. Who knows?
York has quietly played a pivotal role in the history of our nation more than once (it’s the first place the words “The United States of America” were spoken, for example.)
York is a wonderful place — a small town with a huge heart — and #ILoveYorkCity
(the whole of York county, really.)
